MOMA Scholarship 2024: The Ministry of Minority Affairs distributes a scholarship to the students who belong to the minority categories. The scholarship is also known as MOMA Scholarship. The last date for the submission of the MOMA Application Form 2024 is October 2024.

The aspirants who want to pursue higher education and belongs to the Minority class can apply. According to MOMA Scholarship Status 2024, the announcement of the names of the selected students will be done in the month of December. The scholarship will be distributed state wise to the aspirants of NITs & IITs.

The students who have applied successfully for the registrations and seeking for the MOMA Scholarship Status. They can track their applications by accessing the official website. The scholarship is provided in three sections first for the pre-matric courses, secondly is for the Post Matric MOMA Scholarship 2024 Courses and the third one is Merit Cum Means Scholarship for the courses after the 12th.

MOMA Scholarship Types

There are three types of MOMA Scholarship. The name and the details of the scholarship is given below.

  • Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme for Minorities
  • Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme for Minorities
  • Merit-cum-Means Scholarship for Professional and Technical Courses CS

MOMA Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

For apply the MOMA scholarship i.e. Pre-Matric and Post-Matric scholarship scheme candidates must need to full-fill the eligibility criteria.

Students must be studying in class 1 to 10  and must have scored at least 50% marks in the previous or final exam. The annual income of the family must not exceed: INR 1 Lakh.
Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme for Minorities

 

  • Students of class 11 and 12 are eligible for this scholarship scheme.
  • Students who have taken admission in technical and vocational courses in ITI/Industrial Training Centres affiliated with NCVT (at class 11 & 12 level) can apply.
  • Students who are pursuing Polytechnics and other courses are also eligible to apply.
  • Students must have scored at least 50% marks in the previous final exam.

Note: Certificate courses and any other courses of less than one-year duration are not covered in this scheme.

The annual income must not exceed more than INR 2 Lakh.
Merit-cum-Means Scholarship for Professional and Technical Courses CS

 

  • Students who have taken admission in technical/professional courses at the graduate or postgraduate level are eligible to apply.
  • Students must have secured not less than 50% marks in the previous final exam.
The annual income must not be more than INR 2.5 Lakh from all sources.

  • Proof of bank account is in the name of the applicant
  • Self-certified community certificate
  • Fee receipt of current course year
  • Self-attested certificate of ‘Previous Academic Mark sheet’ as filled in the form (in case of fresh applications)
  • Self-attested certificate of previous year’s mark sheet (in case of renewal)
  • Residential certificate
  • Income certificate
  • Aadhaar card or aadhaar enrolment number

MOMA Scholarship Selection Process

For each scholarship, the selection process is as follows.

Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme for Minorities
  • The candidates who are applying for this scholarship will be selected on the basis of the candidates economic condition.
  • In case of similar financial conditions, the preference is given to that who is older.
Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme for Minorities
  • On the basis of financial situation of the candidates selection of candidate will be done.
  • The older candidate is preferred for the scholarship in case of similar family income.
Merit-Cum Scholarship for Professional and Technical Courses CS
  • The selection of candidate is done on the basis of merit i.e. percentage/ marks of the last academic course/ board (higher secondary/ graduation) exam.

Note: The selected students will receive the scholarship for the entire course. The maintenance allowance will be given annually as a fixed sum amount.

MOMA Scholarship Renewal Policy

Those students who will get the scholarship can renewed it in the next academic year of the course. Candidate need to submit a certificate to prove that they secured at least 50% marks in the previous examination. The scholarship can be renewed in case the candidate purse the same course from the same instution.

MOMA Scholarship Merit List 2024

The MOMA Scholarship will be allotted only to those students who will be eligible for it. The Merit List for MOMA Scholarship will be announced in November. The students who are under this scholarship will be automatically exempted from the process. The aspirants who will get admissions to the reputed colleges will be preferred first. The MOMA Scholarship Merit List 2024 will be published on the website of the government of that particular state. The students have to check their status for the scholarship and have to complete all other formalities.

MOMA Scholarship Result 2024

The authorities of the organization will announce the MOMA Scholarship 2024 Result on the basis of the eligibility of the students. The aspirants will be shortlisted on the basis of their academics and financial conditions. The required distribution will be done according to the states or Union territory. Total 503 scholarships are provided for each state. The Minority class includes the Muslim, Sikh, Jains, Christians, Buddhist and Parsis. The MOMA Scholarship 2024 final list will be announced at the end of November or in the first week of December. The authorities haven’t announced any dates for the announcement on their official website.

MOMA Scholarship Application Form 2024

The students have to apply online for the MOMA Scholarship Registration 2024. The forms will be made available on the official website. The forms will be released at the end of July month. The students from the minority classes can apply for the form. The students are advised to check the eligibility criteria first before applying for the MOMA Scholarship Online Form. The students just have to follow some precise steps for the submission of the online form. The aspirants must note that they have scored well in their qualifying exam to apply for the form.

Steps to Apply Online for the MOMA Scholarship Application form.

  • The students have to access the official website.
  • Then register on the website
  • A registration id and password will be provided to the student.
  • Login with that id and password.
  • Now enter your all valid details in the form.
  • Take a print out of the form.
  • Attach the printed copy of all the required documents with the form.
  • The forms will be sent to the state department of the particular state from which you are applying.
  • After submission, a permanent id will be provided to the students to check the status of the scholarship through mobile or email address.
