Eligibility Criteria For ICMR JRF
The ICMR JRF 2025 Eligibility Criteria are as follows:
- For MA/ MSc. Or equivalent degree: Those who scored minimum 55% marks (for General/EWS/ OBC candidates) and 50% (for ST/ SC & physically handicapped candidates).
- For those who appearing or presently in final year in MA/ MSc equivalent degree can apply for the exam. But these candidates need to submit the attestation format duly certified by the HOD or institute with the signature and rubber stamp (with address and name) where they appearing in the final examination.
- Age Limit: As from Sept 30, 2025 the age limit is of 28 years and there is relaxation provided for 5 years for the candidates who belongs to ST/ SC, physically handicapped and female candidates. For OBC category 3 years of age relaxation is provided.

Candidates are required to apply online through PGIMER, Chandigarh website or ICMR New Delhi website i.e. pgimer.edu.in or icmr.nic.in. No other sites, means or mode of application will be accepted.

ICMR JRF Exam Pattern
The ICMR JRF Paper Pattern is given below.
- The exam consists of one paper which is of 2 hrs and there are 2 sections available on it i.e. section- A and B.
- Section A is the Aptitude section and consists of 50 questions. While section B which is specific section consists of two subjects under which total 100 question come in the exam and candidates need to attempt any of the 75 questions.
Negative Marking: For Each wrong answer there is a negative marking of 0.25.
