CSIR UGC NET Application Form 2024 June Notification @ csirnet.nta.nic.in: Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, Human Resource Development Group is going to release an official notification regarding the CSIR UGC NET Registration Form 2024. The online application submission of CSIR UGC National Eligibility Test is going to start in the month of march/april 2024 as expected. The candidates meeting the eligibility norms in all the aspects are invited to register themselves online on, before the last date. After this, the hard copy of the duly filled online application form needs to be submitted to the examination unit until the last date. All the candidates should make sure that they have submitted the application fee until or before the expected last date. Candidates who have successfully submitted the CSIR UGC NET Online Application Form will be invited to appear in the CSIR UGC NET Exam in June.

CSIR UGC NET exam is conducted by NTA i.e., National testing agency, twice a year in the month of June and December for ‘JRF’ OR ‘Lectureship (LS)/ Assistant Professor’ in the indian universities and college. Joint CSIR-UGC NET Fellowships are tenable in Top Universities, IITs, and Post Graduate Colleges/Govt. Every candidate can apply either for ‘JRF’ or for the ‘Lectureship’ position. If a candidate is found to be over-age for JRF (NET) he/she will automatically be considered for Lectureship (NET) only. Two separate merit lists will be declared for JRF and Lectureship subjects. Candidates qualifying for JRF (NET), will also be eligible for Lectureship (NET). The final result of this Single MCQ test may be declared sometime in the month of Sept/Oct and fellowship to successful candidates will be effective from 1st January 2025 i.e., Research Fellowships for training in methods of research under expert guidance of faculty members/scientists working in University Department/ National Laboratories and Institutions in various fields of Science. And with the validity period of 2 years for joining the fellowship under the CSIR Scheme.

Salient Features

  1. The validity of qualifying CSIR-UGC NET for Lectureship/Assistant Professor is forever.
  2. The award of Joint CSIR-UGC NET Fellowship is for a fixed tenure and does not imply any assurance or guarantee for subsequent employment by CSIR-UGC NET to the beneficiary.
  3. Stipent will be provided to the selected candidates through CSIR- National Eligibility Test (NET) i.e., Rs. 31,000/- p.m for the first two years.
  4. On completion of 2 years and the Fellowship will be upgraded to SRF (NET) with the increase in stipend of Rs. 35,000/- p.m for the 3rd and subsequent years.

CSIR UGC NET Eligibility Criteria 2024

Educational Qualification: Candidates who have completed M.Sc or equivalent degree/ Integrated BS-MS/ BS-4 years/ BTech/ BE / BPharma/ MBBS with at least 55% marks. Relaxations will be available for candidates belonging to reserved categories.

Note: Candidates with M.Sc. qualification OR under M.Sc. Result Awaited (RA) category shall be eligible for LS subject.

Age Limit:

  • For JRF (NET): Candidates should not be more than 28 years of age as on 01st January 2024.
  • For LS (NET): No upper age limit.

Note: Relaxations in the upper age limit will be provided to the candidates belonging to reserved categories.

CSIR UGC NET List of Subjects 2024

Here is the list of subjects in which CSIR UGC NET exam for the science stream is being conducted as follows and the pattern of the following subjects:

The time duration for the each paper is 3 hours in three parts i.e., Part A, B, and C. The exam pattern is in the form of MCQ which carries a total marks of 200, which is divided into 3 parts as mentioned above. Part A is common to all subjects carrying a total of 30 marks out off 200 i.e., of 20 questions of General Aptitude. Part B contains subject related questions with the total marks of 70 out off 200. And the last part i.e., Part C is going to be of total 100 marks which makes it a higher value part to test the candidates scientific knowledge for the scientific problems.

Candidates meeting the eligibility norms in all the aspects are invited to register online by submitting the CSIR UGC NET Application Form on or before the last date, i.e. 08th March. After the online submission of the application form, candidates need to submit the hard copy of the completely filled online form to the address given below on or before 14th March and until 21st March for remote areas.

Steps to apply for CSIR UGC NET Registration Form 2024

  • Follow the official portal of CSIR, i.e csirhrdg.res.in/ csirnet.nta.nic.in.
  • Click on the “CSIR UGC NET June 2021 notification” link and read it carefully.
  • Click on the “Apply Online” link only after meeting the eligibility norms in all the aspects.
  • The online form will be shown to you and have to choose the position JRF or Lectureship.
  • Fill all the shown entries in the online form.
  • Attach scanned copies of all the necessary attachments such as photo, signature, documents.
  • Pay the Examination fees as shown.
  • Click on the “Submit” button after rechecking all the entries.
  • Take a print out of the application form and submit it to the office of the examination cell till the last date as shown above.
